Celebrating 10 years of observations!

31 July to 9 August 2026
The International Monarch Monitoring Blitz is an annual North American event dedicated to research aimed at protecting the monarch butterfly. The goal? To take a snapshot of the presence of milkweed and monarch butterflies in your area. This year, the Monarch Blitz is celebrating its 10th anniversary! From 31 July to 9 August 2026, thousands of volunteers across North America joined the celebration by searching for monarch butterflies and milkweed plants in their area.
Thank you to everyone who participated in Mission Monarch and helped make the 10th anniversary of the Monarch Blitz unforgettable. Stay tuned to see the results of your incredible work!
